Enrico Di Geronimo baryton

Enrico Di Geronimo, born in Castel di Sangro, studied piano at the “Lorenzo Perosi” Conservatory in Campobasso. He then continued his studies in composition, conducting and singing at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome. In 2017, he began the study of singing under the direction of maestro Antonio Lemmo.

Among his operatic roles are Count Ceprano (Rigoletto by G. Verdi) at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, under the direction of maestro Morandi; Bartolo (Il Barbiere di Siviglia by G. Rossini) at the Teatro Savoia in Campobasso; Don Carissimo in La Dirindina by Domenico Scarlatti with the Real Cappella di Napoli at the Auditorium Oscar Niemeyer in Ravello, as well as in Naples at the Domus Ars.

In 2019, he performed Luther in Les Contes d'Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, under the direction of maestro Staimberg; he also sang the role of the Imperial Commissioner in Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, under the direction of Maestro Ferro, a role he reprized in November on the occasion of the inauguration of the season of the Teatro Sociale in Rovigo. In January 2020, he played Baron Scarpia in Tosca at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples.

In February 2021, he sang under the direction of Charles Dutoit in Pulcinella by Igor Stravinsky at the LAC in Lugano with the OSI – Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana; in May 2021, he is Doctor Grenvil in La Traviata, on the occasion of the reopening to the public of the Teatro San Carlo after the pandemic. In July, he performed Stravinsky's Pulcinella again in Geneva, under the direction of Charles Dutoit.

In July 2022, he is Angelotti in Tosca at the Teatro Regio in Turin, under the direction of maestro Ranzani. At the “Unità d’Italia” auditorium in Isernia, he played Bartolo in Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Gioachino Rossini.

In 2023, he participates in Tosca, under the direction of maestro Morandi, at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa; in October he sang in La Bohème at the Teatro Verdi in Padua, at the Teatro Sociale in Rovigo and at the Teatro Mario Del Monaco in Treviso. He plays Jago in Otello by G. Verdi at the Teatro Municipale de Plaisance.

In February 2024, he sang the role of Schaunard in La Bohème with the Orchestra Magna Grecia of Taranto. In October, he performed the roles of Scudiero del Re and Servo di Diana in the production of Malipiero's La vita è sogno at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He made an important debut in March with the I Barocchisti orchestra, under the direction of maestro Diego Fasolis.

In April 2025, he sang at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari the role of Vincenzo Gellner dell'Hochstoff in La Wally by Alfredo Catalani, under the direction of maestro Lu Jia. In August, he performed the role of Escamillo in The Tragedy of Carmen by G. Bizet / Peter Brook, under the direction of maestro Marcianò, at the Lerici Music Festival.

In December, he played the title role in the opera Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi. At the end of December, he sang again with the I Barocchisti orchestra for the opening of the season at the Teatro di Chiasso, under the direction of maestro Diego Fasolis.

In February, he was one of the three soloists in The Creation of Haydn at the LAC in Lugano with I Barocchisti, under the direction of maestro Diego Fasolis, in the role of the Archangel Raphael.

In May, he will be part of the cast of Il Gobbo del Califfo at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari.
